Oscar-Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson's brother-in-law pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges he shot her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew to death.

Twenty-seven-year-old William Balfour, who is married to Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia Hudson, is charged with killing his sisters' mother, Darnell Donerson, their brother, Jason Hudson, and Julia Hudson's 7-year-old son, Julian King. He also entered a not-guilty plea in a Cook County courtroom for a charge of home invasion.

According to prosecutors, Balfour was in a jealous rampage, believing that Julia Hudson had been seeing another man.

Authorities found the bodies of Donerson and Jason Hudson’s in their South Side Chicago home on Oct. 24. Three days later, they found King’s body in an SUV on the city’s West Side. Police took Balfour into custody shortly after the bodies were found, but after 48 hours, and no conclusive evidence, and was remanded to state custody on a parole violation. Last month, he was charged with murder.
